It’s not called the capital for nothing. Washington is one of those places that you will have to…absolutely HAVE TO visit at least once in a lifetime. There are just too many things to do and see there, you’ll absolutely fall in love with Washington. The key to seeing as much as you can of Washington is to charter a city bus there so that you can simply hand over your itinerary and just wait to enjoy yourself. Some like backpacking, some like traveling alone…but let us tell you that you will enjoy Washington more if you went there with people you enjoy the company of. Book your friends, family or even colleagues so that you can spend a day or two getting into the every nook and cranny of Washington.
Here are a couple of recommended places you should go to in Washington. First, you get on the charter city bus and inform the driver of the bus that you would like to get to THE Lincoln Memorial Park. Many travelers and tourists can attest to the fact that Washington’s Lincoln Memorial Park is breathtaking. Looking at pictures of the 19-foot statute of Lincoln seated, deep in thought is good enough, you think? Wait till you see the real thing. It will be totally awesome. After you’ve had your fill of the American History behind this monumental place, it’s time to get back on the charter bus and head on to the next destination….the National Air and Space Museum.
Think museum, most of us can’t help stifling a quiet yawn. But this is going to be different. In fact, practically everything in Washington is a little unique and different. Admission into the museum is absolutely free, so, just let your charter bus driver know that you’re heading there. There are dozens of aircrafts on showcase over there….right from the time when Wright Brothers spent most of the time falling out of the sky. Take in the moon rock and don’t miss out on the chance of visiting the model of Star Trek’s Enterprise.
There are so many other places to go in Washington that you can’t possibly run out ideas. If that is the case, ask the charter bus provider to see if they can bring you to some of their most popular tourist spots. Whatever the case may be, you should take some time to visit the very place where Abraham Lincoln was assassinated…and that is the Ford’s Theatre. After only four years of opening, the much-loved president Abraham Lincoln was shot there. this is the place where many shows and plays are held and there is also an extensive display of mementos of President Lincoln on display here.
